Generally, the frequency range of voltage fluctuation due to wind power generation is 1~3Hz, which is in the low frequency band of IEC's flicker meter. However, there is an error in the low frequency band of IEC's analog flicker meter as well as digital flicker meter. If the flicker due to wind power generation is measured by IEC's flicker meter, the results may be inaccurate. This paper investigates the reason of error and proposes a method for improving the accuracy of the digital flicker meter by amending the parameter of weighting filter. The simulations show that the accuracy is improved, and then the digital flicker meter is suitable for wind power generation.
