Reengineering-Integration or Disintegration of Ideas and Technology? The Answer Is Yes!

The objective of this paper is to present a case history which combines new ideas, organizations, and technologies to reengineer our management operations realignment was designed to combine management functions to achieve a quantum leap in performance and reduce barriers and cost. Our facility layout had been redesigned in function, technology, and service orientation to provide direct product support, Activity Based Costing (ABC), and new product introduction in a period of rapid change. The organizational and ideological reengineering realignment results were impressive, so impressive that we returned product manufacturing from the Far East in some cases.
