After the successful first Round Robin Test (RRT) on microcalorimetry WIWEB; and PB Clermont SA proposed to conduct a follow-up RRT on compatibility, also to be measured by microcalorimetry. The propellant of the first RRT was chosen again for this second RRT. As contact material a lacquer called Gleitmo 980 was selected. It was prepared by WIWEB and sent out to all participants. Thus each laboratory had the same material. The basic measuring principle was fixed by WIWEB and was nearly identical to that of the first RRT. The interlaboratory repeatability was high, the standard deviation of the propellant sample and of the mixture was below 10%. All participants had the possibility to run additional experiments. The measuring temperature, the mixing procedure or the preparation of the contact material was varied in different laboratories. In addition other experiments, like vacuum stability test (VST), weight loss tests or pressure increase experiments were conducted, which increased the understanding of the processes going on in the mixture.
