Intent and Rationale in the Design of Chemical Processes: A Case Study

摘要

This work presents a framework that integrates the representations of design rationale, intent and artifact, and shows how it can help improve the documentation of the design activity. In order to demonstrate the advantages of the framework, the use of a computer aided design support system prototype is proposed and then used to document a design case study for the production of ethyl acetate via esterification.
