摘要

In the passive vision sensing method for fusion weld process controlling, the selection of center wavelength has an important influence on the quality of the captured weld pool image. In this paper, 29 narrow-band filters with different center wavelengths ranging from ultraviolet to near infrared wavelength were used to capture pictures of welding pool during both peak pulse current period and the base value period of P-GMAW. The experimental comparison results were given and the reasons that caused the phenomenon of weld pool imaging using filters of different center wavelengths were also analyzed.
