Reference software for roughness analyses

摘要

Since in-phase filters for determining roughness characteristics were introduced the software used has increasingly gained in importance. The filters implemented in the software are employed to split the measured profile in a long-wave and in a shortwave component. The filtered profiles then serve to determine the roughness parameters. For the calibration of roughness standards it is therefore necessary to test not only the instrument used but also the software employed. We therefore have developed a reference software enabling manufacturer and user to check their own software.
