A PERMANENT MAGNET ROTARY MAGNETIC REFRIGERATOR

摘要

A permanent magnet rotary magnetic refrigerator is designed，built and tested. The refrigeratorrnuses 0.5mm Gd particles as working materials and water as heat transfer fluid. NdFeB permanentrnmagnets provide a magnetic field of 1.5T. Wheel comprising working materials is driven byrnmotor to move in and out the magnetic field. At an optimal water flow flux and frequency ofrnmagnetization and demagnetization, the refrigerator produces a maximum temperature span ofrn11.5K and a cooling power of 40W at 6.7K temperature span.
