Citizen-centric Information System within a Community-Portal Dynamic Value Constellation: The Smart Region Initiative

A community-portal dynamic value constellation, entitled: The Smart Region Initiative was a funded program of A$1.7million, under the auspices of the Queensland government, and comprised a consortium of Unisys, Microsoft, and Moreton Institute. Action inquiry identified design, development, and operationalisation requirements. It provides all residents, community groups, businesses and services, and government agencies access to information, interact and participate in developing an e-community. Provisional findings emphasise the need for strong project leadership.
