Considerable efforts have been devoted to organic electroluminescence (EL) since the pioneer work several years ago. Seeking new material with high EL performance is very important to the success of EL devices. Blue emitting material is more desirable because (1) EL of other color can be deduced from a blue emitting EL (2) "inorganic" blue emitting EL material is difficult to obtain. In this letter, we report a new blue emitting material, 1. 3-diphenyl-5-(2-pyrenyl)-2-pyrazoline, DPP.
