摘要

"Metal complex as a ligand" strategy has long been recognized by synthetic coordination chemists to be an effective approach of making polynuclear metal complexes. Very recently, this strategy has been extended to air-water interface by our group, in order to construct supramolecular assembly in the controlled manner through coordination bond at the interfaee. In this report, a novel amphiphilic Ru(II) complex with its molecular structure shown below, Ru(L18)(tpy-PO_3H)PF_6 ( L18 = 2,6-rnbis(N-octadecylbenzimidazolyl)pyridine and tpy-PO_3H = rnonoprotonated-2,2':6",2'-terpyridine-4-phosphonate), was designed and synthesized for this purpose.
