The main argument of this paper is that aircraftrnmanufacturers are no longer 'simply'rnmanufacturers, or even "system integrators",rnbut are becoming solution integrators. Thisrnrequires that aircraft manufacturers have anrninherent intelligent service supplier capabilityrnresiding within the organization to meet thernneed of increasingly complex, and blurred,rnproduct service systems.
