AN OVERVIEW OF THE RTO SYMPOSIUM ON VORTEX FLOW AND HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK AERODYNAMICS

In May of 2001 the Research and TechnologyrnOrganization (RTO) sponsored a symposium onrnVortex Flow and High Angle of Attackrnaerodynamics. Forty-six papers, organized intornnine sessions, addressed computational andrnexperimental studies of vortex flows pertinent tornboth aircraft and maritime applications. Thernstudies also ranged from fundamental fluidsrninvestigations to flight test results. Selectedrnhighlights are included in this paper to providerna perspective toward the scope of the fullrnsymposium.
