摘要

Scaling of terminal ballistic experiments with long rod projectiles (LRP) are normally carried out using the replica modelling scaling law, i.e., all geometrical dimensions are scaled by the same factor and the same materials, impact velocity and impact conditions are used in the model-scale replicas, as in the full-scale case. In this study, the interaction between a generic LRP and a stationary oblique plate is investigated in different scales. The influence of scale and the influence of experimental deviations such as pitch and yaw and the possibility to use the reverse impact technique for parametric studies are discussed.
