摘要

Dense lead metaniobate (PbMb_2O_6) ceramics are difficult to obtain due to rapid grain growth. This study examined the effects of La_2O_3 doping on sintering characteristics and electric properties. La_2O_3 doping suppressed grain growth, and dense, fine-grained ceramics were obtained. The obtained ceramics were easily poled as compared to pure PbMb_2O_6. The dielectric constant and frequency constant were increased as the La_2O_3 content was increased. These properties suggest that the La_2O_3-doped PbNb_2O_6 ceramics are suitable for the application to high-frequency ultrasonic transducer.
