Hydrogen plays a vital role for our sustainable future, because of which obtaining pure hydrogen is of great importance. Past years, there has been a lot of research on understanding the palladium-hydrogen system and its implications on the application of palladium membranes for hydrogen separation. A common problem faced by the palladium membranes in presence of hydrogen is their embrittlement due to the a to β hydride phase transition.
