Electronic surveillance systems are designed to secure goods located in a protected zone. The environment in which the electronic article surveillance system works is exposed to a significant amount of interference generated by devices located nearby. A good electronic article surveillance system should have a small number of “false” alarms, which is why the algorithm of marker detection plays a very important role in the security process. This paper presents an algorithm for the detection of acousto-magnetic electronic article surveillance system. The proposed algorithm enables efficient processing of the received signal, suppression of noise, detection of the position of the marker relative to the protected zone and control of the sensitivity of the system. In order to verify the correctness of the algorithm's operation, a test stand consisting of several electronic surveillance system gates was built. The results of experimental research are presented.
