摘要

Human voice is one of many prints that differentiates one person from another and carries variety of information which can be analyzed and altered using different signal processing techniques. Such print is considered as a main biometric used in today's intelligent security, mobile, control and navigation systems. For this purpose, a system is designed using LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench) which illustrates the use of speech processing techniques and algorithms. The design introduced in this paper aims to find the formants and pitch of the voice samples with the aid of Linear Prediction Coding, which will be then compared using Euclidean distance to a mean value of male and female formant/pitch to detect the speaker gender and then search among a predefined database to extract the identity of that speaker.
