摘要

In view of the importance of the accuracy of current transformers (CTs) for monitoring and protection, a mathematical model based on actual magnetization curve is presented to predict the error caused by the eccentricity of the primary conductor. It is shown that the eccentricity will result in asymmetric magnetic field distribution and causes an error in the measurement result. In addition, the model predicted results are compared to corresponding two-dimensional transient finite element model results for verification.
