A novel measurement system and a 3D field reconstruction method are described for determining the power density in the close near field of wireless devices transmitting at frequencies from 6–110 GHz. Measurements are compared against simulated results. The accuracy is better than 0.5 dB for distances greater than λ/5 from the radiating source.
