Cloud computing has developed as a prevailing and transformational worldview in Information innovation space throughout the most recent couple of years. It has influenced a huge number of ventures, for example, government, broadcast communications etc. The Quality of Service (QoS) of a cloud specialist organization is a vital research field which envelops distinctive basic issues, for example, effective load adjusting, reaction time enhancement, culmination time change and diminishment in wastage of data transfer and power consumption. This project highlights a new energy aware algorithm which can map and migrate virtual machines onto the physical machines while maintaining least performance degradation. Power consumption by the datacentre is decreased via switching off the hosts with least workload, by mapping and migrating the Virtual machines onto the other hosts, which have adequate resources to execute these Virtual Machines simultaneous to the one already executing upon it. Quality of Sevice (QoS) is maintained while the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) can decide whether the algorithm has to be cost efficient or time efficient. The algorithm can be made cost efficient for the CSP by prioritizing the CPU utilization and time efficient by prioritizing the Performance degradation. Therefore, the algorithm decreases the energy consumption by the Data center and while maintaining the QoS.
