Multifaceted bio-medical applications of exoskeleton: A review

摘要

The purpose of this survey is to review the various applications of exoskeletons in the field of bio-medicine. Exoskeletons have shown huge promise in improving the lives of patients who suffer from partial or complete paralysis of the upper and lower limbs. They have been used to enhance the motion of the limbs in patients who suffer from partial paralysis, to provide rehabilitation to patients who have suffered from major physical injuries and as a means of exercising limbs which have been completely paralyzed, in-order to prevent muscular atrophy.
