Hough transform is usually used for target detection as an incoherent integration method. However, it is not suitable for weak target detection under low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) background. To solve this problem, a wavelet based de-noising method is proposed, which can be used for weak target detection of pulse compression radar. In this method, the pulse compressed echo signals are first denoised by a modified wavelet threshold filtering method and then the denoised echo signals are incoherently integrated by Hough transform. This method can effectively eliminate the noise in pulse compressed echo, resolving the frequency aliasing problem of the echo signal and noise. Finally, numerical simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
