A Microstrip line feed, ground slot coupled dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed in this paper. To enhance the bandwidth of the dielectric resonator antenna, embedding of the four rectangular slots have been proposed. The proposed technique is simple and feasible. Using slots loaded technique, 418% of bandwidth enhancement achieved in simulated results. The effect of the slots dimensions on Su and the gain of the DRA have been studied and presented. The comparison of Su characteristics of the antenna, with and without embedding slots also presented in this paper. The antenna design and optimization have been done using CST Microwave studio 2016 software.
