Multifunctional HD receivers for smart homes

High Definition receivers like Set Top Boxes (STBs) act like an important communication hub in each homes as it is very frequently used. Smart and multifunctional receivers will play a major role in making smart homes. Designing the receivers with multifunctional and user friendly features will add the values to the concepts of smart homes. Handling different types of signals, transforming one form of the signal in to another and receiving broadband through a new concept called TV white space are some of the features of new generation HD receivers. Smart receivers add value to create smart homes and smart cites.
