摘要

This paper mainly studies the locomotive braking system flowmeter. The purpose of this paper is to accurately measure and display the air flow rate of locomotive braking system. So we can judge the opened and closed state and the closed specific location of the coupling cock. This study can prevent the locomotive brake failure and reduce the number of traffic accidents. In this paper, the appearance of the flowmeter and the mechanical structure of the V type internal cone throttling device are designed firstly. Second, use STAR-CD software to simulate the flow field pressure distribution in the flowmeter. Third, test the parameters of flowmeter. Fourth, the simulation results are compared with the experimental results, the error is less than 10%. It shows that the mechanical structure and simulation model are reasonable. This design has some theoretical and practical significance.
