This paper presents an error analysis for a capacitance based liquid level measurement system which measures the liquid level in measuring tanks whose orientation with respect to horizontal surface may change up to maximum of 30°. The non-inductive capacitance type sensor capable of measuring level of conducting as well as non-conducting liquids is used to measure the liquid level at horizontal and inclined states of measuring tanks. Impedance analyzer is used to acquire accurate results for capacitance values at every level of measuring tank.
