The recent proliferation of cloud computing has leveraged its use in different areas. One of the striking areas is healthcare in which the patient's electronic health care data is maintained by the cloud providers. However, the main concern when using the cloud in sharing the health-care information is the security and privacy of the patients' data. An Electronic Health Record (EHR) system must ensure the security and privacy in both storing and distributing the EHR data to/from the cloud. In this paper, we propose an EHR system, which preserves the privacy of the patient personal information as well as provides the confidentiality to the sensitive medical information using cryptographic organization based access control. Also, the security elements of the proposed system are analyzed to increase the patient's trust on this system.
