摘要

The “smart” farming tries to attract Filipinos to be involved in agriculture by opening a window on how the old-aged practice of farming integrates the application of modern technologies. Catalyzing a device embedded with sensor technologies such as the soil moisture sensor that can identify the water volume content of soil which when incorporated in the irrigation management strategy may result in the conservation of costly water irrigation, a humidity sensor that can descry dry presence of water in air and a self-activating irrigation that will release enough amount of water needed by the soil for cultivating healthy plants. The future scenes for plant growers would be a high-tech and automatic irrigation that would lead to competitiveness in the market. The possible deployment of the proposed project in the agricultural lands in the country would be a big leap in water conservation and would be a promising solution in the future water scarcity.
