摘要

This study is a mathematical analysis of a 38 GHz transmitarray antenna for satellite communications. In this work rectangular waveguides operating in fundamental mode are considered as the unit cell elements as their transmission magnitudes and phases can be altered easily by changing the length of the waveguides. First the transmission and radiation characteristics of a single element is studied and a formulation for the field patterns is derived. The results are extrapolated to an array of alternately positioned waveguides. A sample design of a single beam antenna is provided and the E-plane and H-plane patterns are plotted using the formulations.
