Microstrip antenna array often use one point two power splitters cascading as feed network, at lower frequency such as C or S wave band, the insertion loss of network is weak, which made the performance of antenna array stable and efficient. At higher frequency as Ka wave band, however, the insertion loss cannot be ignored, because the electrical properties as gain of array will be deterioration obviously. Meanwhile, the element space is small at higher wave band, so the routing of feed lines became hard. For the large insertion and complex wiring shortcomings, this paper proposed a novel feed network for the microstrip antenna array, which avoids the traditional scheme of the `right-angle bend' and `cutaway'. By comparing these two simulations feed network insertion loss and antenna array pattern, verified the new form has improved the antenna array gain and aperture efficiency significantly.
