This study tries to combine the recent research from two within the lens of examining inter-organizational information systems and supply chain management. The main reason for this analysis is to understand the strengths of interorganizational systems deployment conducted for supply chain management and then to highlight inter-organizational components as a result of a deployment. The research model has been developed by consulting literature surrounding the concepts of social exchange theory (SET) and the relational view (TRV). This model proposes that the five major factors of long-term orientation, information-sharing, collaboration, integration of key business processes, and history of success impact the success of an inter-organizational information system.
