摘要

UHF sensor plays a very important role in UHF method. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the external GIS partial discharge (PD) detection sensor, a small quasi TEM horn antenna sensor is designed in this study. Compared with the traditional TEM horn antenna, it uses the dielectric-loading, three-dimensional microstrip and back cavity structure considering the bandwidth and gain performance, so the antenna can fully detect the PD of GIS. The comparison experiment between the antenna and the existing microstrip antenna is carried out on the GIS experimental platform. Experimental results show that compared with microstrip antenna, the antenna has a higher amplitude. Besides, It is convenient to obtain the UHF signal generated by PD of GIS from the basin insulator with the advantages of small size, convenient installation, etc., and is suitable for practical engineering application.
