摘要

The reserve of fossil fuel is decreasing and the energy consumption rate is increasing day by day. To meet this increasing energy demand without polluting and warming the world, renewable energy sources are adopted for producing electricity. Wind is one of the most promising renewable energy sources and the use of this source has been increasing very fast. This paper deals with the simulation of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) wind turbine based hybrid wind power generation system equipped with SMES in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. The DFIG based and PMSG based wind power systems are simulated separately. Then they are connected parallel and combined. The variable wind speed is taken as the input of the turbine. The simulation results show that the system with SMES provides more quality power than the system without SMES.
