This paper presents a unified approach for identification and control of continuous-time signals and systems from its discrete-time representation at high sampling rate. Delta operator is used in developing a unified frame work for identification and control of MISO systems. The philosophy of time moments (TM) is recasted as Delta Time Moment (DTM) and computed from real time input-output data. The DTM so obtained has been utilized to develop adaptive algorithms for different control schemes for MISO systems. In developing adaptive control law, a reference model framework is chosen. The reference model is parameterized capitalizing the classical control system specifications. Four control schemes, namely i) Inverse control using DTM (ICDTM) ii) Pade Adapted Inverse control using DTM with error feedback (PICDTMEF) iii) Plant Delta Time Moment controller (PDTMC) and iv) Pade Adapted Delta Time Moment controller with Error feedback (PDTMCEF) have been developed and demonstrated for MISO systems. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the efficacy of these methods.
