Asynchronous motor is vital for trades and occupations because of simple structure, the reliable running, the convenient service and cheap price. However, it is generally known that motor which is direct-on starting has many malpractices. When electrical machinery light-loading running, the power lose increases, the efficiency and power factors both reduce greatly. Therefore it has extremely vital significance to implement effective control on asynchronous motor, guarantee the security of the electrical machinery, and enable it running economically. This paper studies the principle if motor energy-saving in AC voltage regulator, then an energy convention controller with variable load has been implemented using phase control thyristor conduction angle control mode which can automatically track the load, save energy with light load and has various protective functions. In addition, it can realize the soft start function with small start current and mechanical shock in the process of motor starting, and achieves the purpose of a controller with a variety of control functions. The power saving rate is as high as 39% after the experiment on the friction pressure machine of 132KW1600T, and the energy conservation effect is obvious.
