摘要

An electromagnetic transient simulation model of 500 kV HVDC Power Networks in Hubei province is established. According to the actual configuration and parameters, all the primary electrical devices in 500 kV AC/DC hybrid power grids are modeled in detail, including HVDC converter, AC/DC transformers, AC/DC breakers, filters, reactors, transmission lines, grounding polar, and all the other power elements. Hypersim is used to model the whole power grid and calculate the electromagnetic transients. Three actual cases in terms of AC no-load lines switching overvoltage, HVDC commutation failure caused by single phase short-circuit fault, and the current distribution between GRTS (ground return transfer switch) and MRTB (metallic return transfer breaker) are analyzed by using the proposed model. Compared to the field measured of voltage and current, the reliability of simulation models is verified.
