摘要

Low cost, high resolution can-stack (CS) stepper linear actuator are gaining interest in pipette and stage lighting applications. During the product development stage, the challenge involves the optimal design of stator poles and magnetization of multi-pole permanent magnet rotor. In this paper, the effect of magnetization on higher number of pole pair with iron-less magnetizer fixture is studied. The finite element based simulation is carried out and various steps involved in modeling are discussed. Finally, the simulated back-emf and generated holding torque of the stepper are verified with the experimental results.
