Cardiac pacemaker is an electronic medical device which is used to control abnormal rhythms of heart. Pacemaker requires continuous supply of energy where conventional wires are unaffordable, inconvenient, hazardous, expensive and impossible. Currently wearable pacemaker is operated by embedded battery. But the battery has limited life and it requires lifelong provision of energy. Wireless power supply system for wearable pacemaker based on magnetic resonant coupling has been proposed in this paper. Wireless power supply system is developed to recharge the battery of a wearable pacemaker. The system consist of three parts; a transmitter circuit to generate an AC signal which is to be transferred, transmitting and receiving coil to transfer power wirelessly, and receiver circuit to convert received AC signal into DC voltage for charging the battery of a wearable pacemaker. To utilize power, optimally microcontroller has been used. Relay based switching circuit is used to control the supply of power; it saves power when battery is fully charged.
