A key factor while designing any wireless sensor network is lifetime of that network that depends on the node's energy that is very restricted by the battery of the node. Wireless sensor network consist of clustering which is believed to be the most energy efficient scheme. The network lifetime depends upon the values that when first node dies (FND), half node dies (HND) and also when last node dies (LND). A proposed scheme is discussed in the paper which depends on optimization of grids using mobility and energy proficient clustering technique. In this scheme, the whole sensor field is alienated into virtual grids where a cluster is represented by each grid. For the optimization of grids, the sensor nodes used are mobile nodes so as to balance the load in each grid (or cluster) by equalising the total amount of the sensor nodes in every grid and enhancing the network's lifetime. To equalise the total energy of the sensor network, the sensor node's residual energy with that sensor node's distance from its base-station (sink) is taken into concern while selecting cluster head. LEACH, LEACH-MIMO, EE-LEACH and EE-LEACH-MIMO techniques are used for the comparison. Two more scenarios of the proposed techniques are created for the comparison - firstly by variation in number of nodes and other by variation in number of grids and further the network lifetime is obtained. The simulation work is carried out in MATLAB. The comparison of proposed technique performs superior from the existing technique by calculating terms like saving energy, balanced loading and enhancement of wireless sensor lifetime.
