This work addresses the fuzzy optimization of biochemical systems expressed with the S-system form under uncertainty. Considering the uncertainty of the kinetic order and rate constant parameters of the S-system form, a fuzzy optimization model is firstly established. This proposed problem is a fuzzy linear programming and is then turned into a determined optimization problem. The new problem can be solved by using the available linear programming algorithm. Finally, an example of biochemical system is applied to the presented scheme of fuzzy optimization under the parametric uncertainty of the S-system. A comparative study is also given.
