This paper presents a comparison of two control strategies for 3-level 4-leg Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF). The first method is based on hysteresis controllers and the second, proposed method is the Model Predictive Control (MPC) with a finite control states set (FS). The two methods are described and experimental results are presented with comparison.
