In this contribution we demonstrate an overview on different kinetic micro energy harvesting solutions for selfsustained cable-free sensor system solutions, elaborated at our organisation. Depending of the desired functions, the sensors working principle, the sampling rate, the level of data preprocessing and signal conditioning and the particular important demand of wireless communication the required power will be in the range from some 100 muWatt up to some Watt. Therefore different micro power solutions can reach from a simple battery pack up to an optiimized ambient energy harvester with highly integrated power management electronics to end in an endless power self-sustained system. These power solutions activities are an inherent part of the HSG-4S smart-sensor-system-solutions approach, which is a framework and knowledge base currently in process, to ease and optimize the development of smart sensor systems.
