摘要

Uniplanar compact electromagnetic bandgap is used surrounding the radiation patch of microstrip antenna to reduce the antenna's RCS. The center frequency of the microstrip antenna is 3.3GHz. The plane wave is normal incident. Compared with the patch antenna without the surrounding periodic UC-EBG, the patch antenna with the UC-EBG has much lower RCS. Meanwhile, gain, bandwidth and radiation patterns of the latter are kept when compared with those of the former.
