摘要

Due to problems such as poor surface roughness,edge chipping caused by tensile stress and so on for MT-CVD coated inserts,the traditional wet blasting technology can not remove the above defects very well.This paper points out the cutting edge passivation technology used in MT-CVD coating,can effectively overcome parts of defects of MT-CVD coating,improve surface finish and edge chipping resistance of coated inserts.The paper briefly elaborates the present state of the cutting edge passivation technology.It is pointed out that control of the efficiency of cutting edge passivation and passivation method is the key technology of the cutting edge passivation.R&D level of cutting edge passivation equipment and technology will decide the application fields of cutting edge passivation technology.
