Evaluation of contractual arrangement of new energy sources for generation expansion in Uruguay and its impact on the risk matrix of the utility costs

This paper analyzes the current energy matrix (year 2012) and the projected to 2015 of the power generation sector in Uruguay. The analysis is performed from the point of view of cost and risk exposure of the country and the utility UTE. The most relevant components of the cost and volatility and ways to mitigate cost risk taken are shown.
