An ECT Flow Regime Identification Technology for Gas/solid Two-phase Flow Phase Concentration Measurement

In order to increase the sensitivity of the concentration measuring system of gas/solid two-phase flow and make the concentration measuring accuracy not affected by flow patterns, a flow pattern identification system is added for classified processing of measuring results according to the flow patterns on the basis of the original concentration measuring system. Electrical Capacitance Topography (ECT) system that can present the images inside the gas/solid two-phase flow pipelines is developed based on the original hardware system. The radial basis function (RBF) network algorithm is used for image reconstruction and a method of 2-D Maximum Entropy Threshold Image Segmentation with Chaos-Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) algorithm is proposed to segment the images collected by an ECT system. Among the system, the 12- electrode capacitance sensor is not only used for concentration measuring but also for ECT measurement. In order to check whether this method is reasonable or not, an experimental platform is built. And the result shows that this flow pattern identification system for the concentration measurement performs efficiently and accurately.
