The study of the semiconductor-metal interfaces is great importance both for fundamental and technological application and their electrical properties with their electron states has been reported within the past few years. The combination of both display peculiar optical properties at nanoscale and has the potential for the application in photonic. Among all the metal, gold nanoparticle (AuNPs) is widely used in electronic devices to control the base minority-carrier lifetime due to its ability to act as recombination centre when dissolved in semiconductor nanocrystals. One of the key is to find possible method for injecting carrier into the nanocrystals. Bassu et al [1] used porous silicon (PSi) as the substrate for Au quantum dots formation. The Au was deposited by using thermal evaporation method. They successful showed potential PSi as a template for the AuNPs formation which shows emission at orange region.
