Robust 4-channel WDM demultiplexing filter based on collectively tuned silicon microrings

We demonstrate a robust 4-channel WDM demultiplexing filter based on cascaded silicon microring resonators. A comparison is made between first- and second-order filters regarding the robustness of the filter response to wafer-scale fabrication variations.
