In wideband channel measurements, the frequency selective characteristics of the antenna influences the quality of the measured channel. Hence to determine the channel accurately, e.g. for channel modeling, this influence needs to be considered. This paper demonstrates how to reduce the distortion of the antenna elements using a Wiener-filter, leading to a better identification and separation of individual path components of the channel. For this purpose the derived algorithm is exemplary applied to measurement data resulting from an indoor measurement campaign for cognitive Program Making and Special Event (PMSE) applications covering the frequency range from 300 MHz to 3000 MHz.
