OSP - Optimized Security Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要

In this paper an idea for resource constrained W'SNs has been proposed which fulfils requirements of data confidentiality, data authentication and data integrity. The proposed optimized security protocol for W'SNs referred to as OSP fulfils both the requirements of security as well as energy efficiency. The OSP scheme is designed to conform to security requirements of message confidentiality, message authentication and message integrity. So our OSP design proposes a solution that is secure as well as energy efficient. The Rabbit stream cipher, with an optimized packet format forms the basis for the confidentiality provided by our OSP design. Furthermore, data authentication and integrity is provided by our OSP design by constructing a Rabbit based MAC function an optimized packet format.
